SAILING AUSTRALIA | how not to throw a spinnaker S1CH.11

Our first time throwing our spinnaker, we don’t know whether it is asymmetrical or symmetrical, there is only one way to find out. So up she goes. We’re learning by doing and we are doing what we can, how not to throw a spinnaker.
We leave Brisbane, it’s a stellar day out on Moreton Bay, Slim is duck taping the dodger and trying to catch a fish. We are heading to Tangalooma on Moreton Island for the night, diving the wrecks when we drop anchor and get followed by hungry fish looking for bread. We cant stay for long, we’re on a mission. We head to Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast the following morning. A ships wake absolutely drenches our bed as we left the hatch open and see the day as a good opportunity to fly the spinnaker, well at least now we know what spinnaker we are working with.

Thinking of getting some camera gear? This is what we use and would highly recommend these products. If you purchase through these links we will get a small commission which really helps us to keep creating more content like this. Thank you,
Slim & Soph xx
