We are out in one of the most REMOTE reaches of the world…hoping to witness a truly magical phenomenon, a natural wonder that defies the imagination and it’s all orchestrated by the dance of the sun and the moon. This is Montgomery Reef, the world’s largest inshore reef, located in the Kimberley, Australia’s far North West. An over 300 squared kilometre (116 square miles) reef island that raises itself from beneath the ocean surface, effortlessly shedding millions of litres of water in spectacular cascades and waterfalls, exposing a labyrinth of channels teeming with life.
