A broken antenna led us to a big problem with our rigging.

This is a little bonus episode addressing the fixing of our forestay. A couple of weeks ago we found our forestay to be damaged. As we plan on a big season of cruising we definitely wanted it to be replaced. As this came as a surprise it had to go on the back burner as we already had an overdue appointment with the hard stand. We booked in a date but upon splashing back in, one of the two transducers we just had installed was leaking saltwater which meant we were back in the slip and our forestay fix was delayed another day. By the time we had our leaky boat sorted the riggers were unfortunately no longer available. This had us fruitlessly calling every possible rigger on the Northern East Coast of Australia. This got us thinking we weren’t going to be doing what we wanted to be doing this sailing season.
