We’re currently sailing Australia’s deep south, it’s where coast meets the Southern Ocean. We’ve just arrived at the very last island before we set off for the biggest crossing we’ll undertake in our Australian circumnavigation, that’s the Great Australian Bight, 600 odd nautical miles of just ocean. It’s a daunting thought at the moment as the season is wrong for travelling west to east. So, we’re waiting for a low-pressure system to roll through, we need a strong enough storm that the wind temporarily swings westerly for us to cross. While waiting for such a forecast, we’re making the most of our the last of our time in Western Australia.
