In February we successfully acquired our engine. She is a Westerbeke W52 motor. We were able to get a good deal and the drive out wasn’t too far. She now sits on the lawn awaiting the day we lift her into the shed and onto her permanent mounts in the boat!

Hello World Salt & Tar is a husband and wife duo determined to build a 35 foot custom George Buehler designed wooden gaff ketch sailboat; documenting their undertaking. Now, 5 years into the project, Garrett and Ruth have transported the boat to the San Francisco Bay Area. It began up a hill in Washington state. Equipped only with a 5000W generator, a few power tools, and resolution Rediviva has grown from a stack of lumber to a boat. Continuing the project in the Napa Valley Marina with better access to civilization and the ocean!
