Salt & Tar: Episode 74-It's Worth it but it Sucks Sometimes

It’s November and the days in the yard are growing old. The best thing to do at that point is to set a date. A goal. Better yet a deadline. For some illogical reason, Garrett and I work best on a rapidly approaching deadline. Something about the sense of urgency that lights a fire underneath and suddenly projects are getting checked off right and left. Having never done a project such as this, mainly meaning the length of time, in our youth we find keeping stamina and perspective on time one of the biggest challenges. Not wanting to be building the boat for say 20 years we have this NEED to push ourselves, which isn’t always easy. Today, the goal of relaunching pushes us to get the have-to’s done as well as getting one more extra project checked off, the cabin top planking.
