Salt & Tar: Episode 72-Drying Out

Thanks to Leo the bottom sanding got done in a single day leaving us time to complete more projects. The bottom paint is a year old and it’s standard on a wooden boat to haul out every year and reapply to keep it fresh preventing hard growth. Since Rediviva first launched last November she’s grown a lot. Her swelling and getting settled into life on the water moved her planks which was to be expected. She’s now been out of the water for 4 months so all that swelling and drying has caused the paint to chip and flake off. No big deal. We have to sand it anyway! All part of the “labor of love” everyone’s always telling us about 😉

Thanks for watching!
