Rolling from one day into the next. One project onto another. We finish the seacocks and thru hulls, including our transducer for the depth sounder, then start in on a cabin project so I can paint the cabin walls before we re-launch. Garrett, as usual, wants to stiffen the boat up. The cabin, because it’s the tallest member of the boat besides the masts, can be vulnerable in heavy breaking seas. Hearing stories of cabins getting ripped right out of the deck would make you do the same. We’re adding posts which will also have knees that tie them into the cabin beams. We’ll also be adding a hand rail/trim along the whole bottom of the cabin wall that will be bolted through the carlin which will also add strength as well as safety down below during passage. I hadn’t added our “days” building the boat in a while and since I was having trouble titling this episode there you go. Day 1,677 and 1,678!!!
Thanks for watching everyone!

Ruthie
