Salt & Tar: Episode 57-Movement! Back to the Boatyard

Here we go! Back to the boatyard to get a few more big projects done on the boat. To come is deck planking, mast raising, through-hull cutting, bottom painting, and re-splashing. The trip was about 5 miles and took a little over an hour and a half. We arrived the Saturday before our haul out because with boats you never know, best be there early than late. The tides were a little funky so as the tide was high and just starting to go out we left Judy’s dock. The marina inlet shallows a bit at low tide. We had some wind kick up but we made it in just fine with our dinghy lashed to our port quarter and our new 9.9 outboard. Now if only the rest of the haul out goes that smoothly 😉
