The long process of sheathing continues into August with breaks out to a scrap yard and a river cruise to celebrate my birthday. We also weld the top pieces of the chainplates that the dead eyes will attach to at Rolf’s shop with the sound of the racetrack just outside his back door. Enjoy!

Hello World Salt & Tar is a husband and wife duo determined to build a 35 foot custom George Buehler designed wooden gaff ketch sailboat; documenting their undertaking. Now, 5 years into the project, Garrett and Ruth have transported the boat to the San Francisco Bay Area. It began up a hill in Washington state. Equipped only with a 5000W generator, a few power tools, and resolution Rediviva has grown from a stack of lumber to a boat. Continuing the project in the Napa Valley Marina with better access to civilization and the ocean!
