Salt & Tar: Episode 36 - This, That, and the Other Thing
September 19, 2018 by Salt & Tar | Language: EN Play Time: 00:35:55 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

Since I’ve made you wait so long for an episode I’ve put together this lengthy one!
We’re piecing all the prop assembly bits together that have been collected since January this year. I’ve never seen Garrett actually change out the packing in a stuffing box so I left that bit a little long because I myself found it informative. We begin some of the beginning work for the rig such as the channels and the templates for the chainplates. We won’t be raising the mast until after we are in the water but these few things will help set us up for that. To much of you, you’ll be so happy to see Garrett trimming down some of our square hull. This is her design but Garrett really wanted to add a few sexy details like shaping the stem. He stares at it often! Then my favorite; painting. I get to do a quick and dirty priming of the interior to cover up all the preservative so we can live-aboard!!!!
I hope you enjoy this mash up of projects 😉
