Moving right along and the first thing that needs to get done is sealing up Rediviva’s hull. I cannot wait to roll on that first bit of finish paint. Yard life is treating us well. Being able to commiserate with fellow sailors and their never ending projects as well is comforting knowing we’re not the only crazy ones (we’ll just put aside the fact that we are the only ones crazy enough to BUILD a boat but that’s beside the point, we have friends now!)

Hello World Salt & Tar is a husband and wife duo determined to build a 35 foot custom George Buehler designed wooden gaff ketch sailboat; documenting their undertaking. Now, 5 years into the project, Garrett and Ruth have transported the boat to the San Francisco Bay Area. It began up a hill in Washington state. Equipped only with a 5000W generator, a few power tools, and resolution Rediviva has grown from a stack of lumber to a boat. Continuing the project in the Napa Valley Marina with better access to civilization and the ocean!
