Finally securing a haul out date at their chosen yard, the couple had just enough time to gather materials and prepare for the process. Salt & Tar emphasized the significance of maintaining the bottom paint on their wooden boat and preventing worm infestations with an annual haul out.

Hello World Salt & Tar is a husband and wife duo determined to build a 35 foot custom George Buehler designed wooden gaff ketch sailboat; documenting their undertaking. Now, 5 years into the project, Garrett and Ruth have transported the boat to the San Francisco Bay Area. It began up a hill in Washington state. Equipped only with a 5000W generator, a few power tools, and resolution Rediviva has grown from a stack of lumber to a boat.
