Colin Archer designed Norwegian Rescue Boats are a thing of beauty. The oldest, built in 1893, is still sailing today! https://www.colinarcher.no/ Originally, we were going to use dead eyes for our mizzen shrouds (and may still in the future) but are taking inspiration from a boat we’ve looked up to for years and rigging the mizzen with lashings instead. We completed the mizzen standing rigging in a single day thanks to this decision. If it weren’t for the running backstays we would be able to say our standing rigging is 100% done!!!! We even ran our first line for our running rigging, our main throat halyard. If you want to see some cool traditional sail setting check this video out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s68Nh8xRKdw
Thanks for watching everyone!

Also, thank you for watching/tolerating the ads. They really help us out financially. We can’t control what ads (that typically depends on your “cookies” i.e. your internet history) but it’s an easy free way to support the project and buy more parts for the boat. Thanks everybody 🙂
