Are you ready!?! We are! Hauled out to refit and finish Rediviva so we can sail beyond Mexico with confidence. Let us know if you have any information, leads, or connections for some of the ideas we mentioned- Prop Assembly, Engine Rebuild, Lumber, Rigging and/or local metal fabricator. We are in the very northern harbor of the Sea of Cortez, Puerto Peñasco also known as Rocky Point, only an hour from the US border and 4 hours from Phoenix, AZ.

Hello World Salt & Tar is a husband and wife duo determined to build a 35 foot custom George Buehler designed wooden gaff ketch sailboat; documenting their undertaking. Now, 5 years into the project, Garrett and Ruth have transported the boat to the San Francisco Bay Area. It began up a hill in Washington state. Equipped only with a 5000W generator, a few power tools, and resolution Rediviva has grown from a stack of lumber to a boat. Continuing the project in the Napa Valley Marina with better access to civilization and the ocean!
