The Most Amazing Drum Ever Played On A Caribbean Island

While we were sailing in the Grenadines in April we managed to record playing this amazing instrument in Salt Whistle Bay in Mayreau, in the Grenadines – our favorite place. This is the first recording of my beloved instrument. We first heard and saw it 8 years ago in a park in Barcelona and were completely mesmerized by it. Finally last year I found a beautiful man in Poland who makes hang drums in his garage for a reasonable cost and ordered one. I have been having loads of fun with it since. It was first created in Switzerland about 2 decades ago and at first it was very hard to get. You also had to prove yourself spiritually worthy to own one supposedly. Enjoy :).

Today we continue my first step with kitesurfing. Caribbean time means: no time! That means we are waiting all day long for our lesson but we are so patient! I have been waiting for this moment almost 3 years…:) plus today we definitely have other entertainments here on this beautiful Saint Lucian beach than learning how to fly a kite in salt water 🙂 we get so chilled out within RASTA time so that Kasia decides to … GET MARRIED! 🙂

Cheers,
Ania

We are a Polish family (Ania, Bartek, Kuba and Julian) travelling the world and sailing across oceans on our floating home, a 15 meter trimaran, as a way of promoting alternative way of life off the grid. In 2014 we managed to materialize our dreams and traded a land based home in Poland for a permanent life on the ocean aboard our dearest new home – sailboat “Poly”.

For us sailing is a way of free life in sync and harmony with nature and each other. It’s a way of experiencing life, people, and places, entirely on our own terms. For many years it was just a dream, but we followed it and it came true. We are here and now, no longer chasing the dream.

We’d like to share it with you so that you can follow your dreams, too. Follow us to see all the amazing, interesting, crazy, scary, and funny people, places and situations that we experience and learn from.

Welcome to our family life unplugged.
