Its not quite as bad as it sounds but if we didn’t have to leave, we wouldn’t have. The wind had been blowing over 20 for the last 4 days, and from the south west, the direction we had to travel in. Today it was still blowing over 20 but had switched around to a true west. Far from ideal but at least it wasn’t completely on the nose and it would be our last chance to get home in time for an operation that Hannah was due to have.
So this was it, if we were going to get Hannah home in time on board Daphi, then we had to leave NOW.
