This was round 3 of the Medway YC RC Laser race series for the 2017-18 season. It was a miserable day but it gives you some idea of what they are all about.

Last week you all watched us take part in the New Years Day race at Wilsonians sailing club in our National 12 dinghy.
This week we take a look at the changes we made to Pepsi before we took part.

With all our boats out of the water at the moment there is no sailing this week, but we take a look at some other boats hidden, away on the east coast of England.

So its that time of year again... another season over and we put sea Horse up on the hard again to sit out the worst of the weather and get on with that job list that never quite gets finished.

We have bought a new boat!
Its a National 12, we arn't experts on the class just keen sailors that have sailed them before and appreciate just how good they are... but that said we tell you a little about the class, the boat we have bought and why we have...
So this is race 5, of the five race Medway Yacht Club Autumn series.
We missed race 1, had a good sail and a 5th in race 2. We won race 3! then had a frustrating time of it in race 4 with a 12th , so we really wanted a good result today. Not just to help ...
So just as last week you watched us enter race 2 of the Medway Yacht Club Autumn series and have a cracking sail in a nice breeze.
This week its race 4 of the same series in much the same wind direction... just less of it and it turned out to be one of th...
So its November and the time of year that MYC runs its Autumn series of races for cruisers. This is always the best racing on the river as for what ever reason pretty much all the best boats take part.

So with the rest of the film from our summer cruise this year lost or corrupted this is all we have left... the sail (motor) back home.
Ironically for a cold misty day with little or no wind this was the best day of the holiday for travelling. The engine i...
The title pretty much speaks for itself... but we were wandering around Titchmarsh marina this summer and were amazed at the number of rather strange looking boats that were on the hard.
You decide, are they strange... or dont we get out enough?

So with the weather forecast taking a turn for the worst we decide to head for the Walton backwaters to hold up in Titchmarsh marina and sample the delights of what many would consider a more normal summer holiday!

Pretty much self explanatory...
With a little forward planning we were able to put something together for Elizabeth to brighten up her day after the long sail up to the Orwell

Next step in our cruise up the east coast of England is the long (for us) sail from the Medway up to the river Orwell. Its a journey of around 50 miles and with the wind from the north we had some bumpy east coast chop to contend with.

Unfortunately a lot of the film we took on our summer cruise this year has become corrupted... so while I sort out what we have left this is a short film of how it all began. The short trip down our river to Queenborough were we pick up a buoy ready for an...
As it turned out there was just enough, and we had a very pleasant sail with 3 generations of our family on board.

This is the final event in the 5 race 2017 series for short handed sailing at Medway Yacht club.
I go into it laying second overall in the championship (first single hander) so there is all to play for.

A couple of years ago I a dragged a buddy of mine out of sailing retirement and back into sailing dinghy's.
Since then he has been nagging me about just how much fun the 49er is and to prove his point, he bought a cheap boat at the end of last year. So we...

One of our viewers watched our film on installing the WiFi system into a B&G network and suggested we take a look at the software upgrade that was available for it.
Well a cursory read of the B&G blurb suggested that it might be worth doing so we g...
This is pretty much just what the title says its going to be except that its more than just replacing the valve, its cutting a hole in the boat as well!

The 4th race in the series and it doesn't all go to plan
This is one of those films that we think... we really shouldn't show every one... but here goes.
As it happens it was a lovely day for a sail, and Ian eventually finish second on handicap so it was ...
