Worst STORM We’ve Had - 40+knots and BARE POLES | S4 E5

From Calm to Chaos—We Did NOT See This Coming! It's the worst storm we’ve had with 40+knots and running off with bare poles.

This was supposed to be a straightforward passage—two nights at sea, motoring across glassy waters, dodging the usual FADs (fish aggregating devices). But then, out of nowhere, everything changed.

With no warning, the wind roared in, lightning cracked across the sky, and we found ourselves battling a sudden storm with bare poles. The rain poured relentlessly, soaking everything in its path—and ripped things from the deck. We were freezing cold, drenched, and trying to keep control as the wind howled around us.

Things can change in an instant out here, and this night was a serious reminder of that. Watch as we navigate one of the most unexpected and intense weather shifts we’ve faced while sailing through Indonesia.
