Sailing to Erromango in Vanuatu | Sailing with Six | Ep 32

In this episode we leave the safe harbour of Port Resolution and get a view of the mighty Mt. Yasur from the ocean just as Captain Cook may have seen it many years before.

We sailed to a new bay, Dillon’s Bay, on a new island, Erromango, to explore a new part of Vanuatu. This bay was stunning with lush green steep hills on either side and a river meeting the sea in the centre. The shore was covered with large, smooth grey pebbles and rocks which was a welcome change to from the white sand beaches in New Caledonia.

We had the opportunity to join a church service which was completely different to the experience we previously had at Aneityum. Once again though the Vanuatu hospitality shone through when they prepared a generous lunch spread after the service.

We enjoyed coconuts at the ‘yacht club’ and an afternoon frolicking in the ocean and brushing up our free diving skills. We hope you enjoy this episode of Sailing with Six.
