Our FIRST STORM on a Sailboat — Sailing Uma [Step 31]

Our passage from Charleston SC to Wilmington NC was an easy smooth over night sail… for the most part. We did get hit by (our first) rain storm. Uma sails reefed and trimmed, she really was a champ, and this wet ride became the smoothest, most comfortable ride since we left Fort Pierce. The next day, we sailed up the Cape Fear river for 20 miles to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
