Episode 395 : Season 12 : Sailing Australia
Hello Friends,
On this episode we say goodbye to Lizard Island and sail on, continuing north we stopped at the Flinders Group for a few days and visited Stanley Island to see the fantastic aboriginal cave art. We also had some close up encounters with a few Dugongs.
Here is additional information about the cave art we saw: https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20141211-exploring-australias-forgotten-aboriginal-rock-art
Continuing on, we sailed past Restoration Island on our way to Margaret Bay. I read a passage from the book “Men against the sea” about Captain Bligh and his men’s harrowing journey. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men_Against_the_Sea
