We spend a few days in Taormina which is amazing, so good we had to return before crossing into the Messina Straight to a new sea as we start our journey to see some volcanoes!
The Messina straight can be difficult to sail through with its own weather pattern, and strong currents, you really need to plan a safe passage through here as both winds and currants can increase dramatically to the weather forecast.
