After seven years and over 65,000 nautical miles, I’m sailing from Florida to Texas to deliver our sailboat Sunday to her new owners… and when we arrive, I’ll step off the boat we called home for the very last time! But first, we’ve got four days to cross the Gulf stream again, dodging cargo ships, navigating strong currents and passing hundreds of oil platforms as our fuel starts running low.
There’s still time for dolphins at the bow, a few questionable fishing attempts and one final adventure aboard our old home. Then it’s goodbye to Sunday and straight onto a flight to Canada to reunite with Brittni after three months apart. how do you say goodbye to a boat that’s been such a huge part of your life?
