Rough Seas To Paradise | BAJA sailing Realities - Ep. 93
Baja can be dreamy place to cruise on a sailboat, but its not always sunshine and rainbows! In this episode, we leave Punta Chivato and continue sailing south towards the spectacular San Juanico.
The forecasted moderate northerly winds are slow to arrive, leaving us wallowing in the classically steep and short period waves of the Gulf of California. After a few hours, the winds pick up, sending us racing downwind with steep seas pushing us along.
Winds increase as we try to turn into our planned anchorage, and we break our boomvang while doing so! With less than ten miles to go until the next spot, we turn tail and run from the raging winds of Punta Pulpito.
