🌴 WE OFFICIALLY COMPLETED OUR WORLD CIRCUMNAVIGATION! 🌎⛵
This week, the adventure takes us to the breathtaking US Virgin Islands, starting on the stunning island of St. John.
We explore Trunk Bay, one of the world’s top 10 beaches, snorkel in impossibly clear Caribbean waters, and settle into the kind of easygoing boat life that everyone dreams about—lazy days on the water and dinners with our feet in the sand. 🏝️🤿
Then things get a little more unusual… 😳 As we make our way toward Christmas Cove, we pass the infamous Epstein Island before dropping anchor for something you don’t see every day: pizza from the world’s only floating pizza kitchen! 🍕🚤
But the biggest moment of the journey is still ahead.
As Rob and I enter St. Thomas Harbor, we cross our own wake and officially complete our WORLD CIRCUMNAVIGATION. 🌎⛵ After 908 days, 30,248nm, countless adventures, and more than a few challenges… WE DID IT!
And because one major milestone apparently isn’t enough, Shannon celebrates her 50th birthday as we prepare to leave the USVI behind and set our sights on our next destination: Puerto Rico! 🎂🎉🇵🇷

We are a suburban blended family that has raised our 3 older children and now want to travel the world. After planning and saving for the past 6 years, we are now embracing our dream of sailing around the world on our Leopard 45 sailing catamaran. Follow our journey as we Circumnavigate the Globe in 3-4 years on a budget of $4,800/month (food, communication, fuel, insurance, transportation, mooring/marina & fun). We left the USA in October 2023 and plan to visit 26 countries on 5 different continents all while worldschooling a budding teen in our off grid tiny house.
