TRAPPED Between Two Storm Systems in Greece 🇬🇷⛈️ | Sailing the Peloponnese
Ep. 208 ~ We leave the medieval town of Monemvasia and sail south around the first and second fingers of the Peloponnese, Greece… straight toward two storm systems about to collide right where we are. 😳
After rounding the legendary Cape Malea, dealing with sudden gusts, uncomfortable swell and nonstop weather routing, we drop anchor in Porto Kagio — a stunning bay once used by pirates like Lambros Katsonis to raid Ottoman ships in the late 1700s.
What could possibly go wrong?
Well… another boat anchors WAY too close to us, we end up sitting on their anchor chain at 3AM, nobody sleeps and the Mediterranean turns into complete chaos as the storms begin to merge.
This episode has everything: Greek waters sailing, ancient history, pirate lore, stressful anchoring, beautiful scenery and two exhausted liveaboards trying to survive it all aboard our catamaran.
