Sailing hard across the top of Sumbawa we arrive at a small fishing village. Deciding to go ashore to find some fresh fruit we were pleasantly surprised. The welcome we got in Branti village was so warm and genuine, it actually shocked us a little. This year with covid we’ve gotten used to people being suspicious of us and keeping their distance but here…. none of that. The locals invited us into their homes, gave us coffee and food, got us drunk on local plan wine and even sung to us. Such an amazing experience! We hadn’t planned on filming and only had Maries little Sony compact camera with us but I decided to record with that anyway.
