Sailing Lady Africa
We are a couple from sunny South Africa who decided to buy an old 1991 36.5ft Dean Sailing Catamaran, do a complete rebuild on her and sail the world. We started our boat build in 2018 and completed here in 2020 where we left South Africa and completed an Atlantic Crossing to the Caribbean. Amidst all of this we applied to become US Residents. So follow our journey as we sail the Caribbean and set up a new life in a new country.

[Yacht Refit & Restoration Week 83] (Ep.92)
Were finally at the FINAL COUNTDOWN! We get our forestays measured up and replaced. What a workout that was! We test out our sails to ensure everything is running smoothly. Get some fittings installed such as our swim deck ladder, our rub rail and the backing plates installed. Its getting more and more exciting everyday!
What’s left on our list you may ask??
1.Window shades
2. Water-maker Installation
3.Install the engine
4.Name goes on
5.Get a life raft & do all the safety equipment
6.Prep our dinghy (get a outboard motor for it)
7.Epoxy hull before anti fouling
8. Anti fouling goes on
9. ENJOY THE FRUITS OF OUR LABOR!
