⛵️SAILING (overnight) our TINY HOME to a NEW COUNTRY!🌴☀️ (and boat work of course) Sailing Joco

In today’s episode, we’re going for an overnight sail with Captain Christen at the helm. What could go wrong? Well, almost getting hit by someone, but we did get a perfect sunset complete with 100 dolphins to make up for it. We finally arrive and get legal before diving into some projects and Jeff manages to stuff himself in the anchor locker while our propane system breaks down.

Sailing Overnight To Martinique

We’re leaving from Beckway, which has been our home away from home for quite some time. It’s a bit of a haul at 17 and a bit hours on paper but we expect it to take longer as we approach.

There’s a bunch of boats out sailing with us on this beautiful day, which makes it even better. We’re single-reefed on the main sail and moving along smoothly at 63 knots.

Arrival in Martinique

We finally arrive at our destination and head into town to Snack Boo Boo to do the check-in process. This place is just a few minutes walk from the dock, and we’ve been here before but it’s always closed. Finally, they’re open for us today.

Propane System Repair

The next task on our list is to repair the propane system. Jeff begins by inspecting and identifying the issues.

Jeff then creates wiring and hose carriers using epoxy and glex to ensure a proper bond and secure the system. Over time, he plans to make improvements on the anchor locker, fix the cross beam, repaint the entire thing, and tighten everything up properly.

To wrap up, be sure to tune in next episode for the conclusion of this repair project and more adventures.
