I strapped my hands across his engines. Riding on the Hayabusa is hot! The sound of the 194 HP engine, the gentle vibrations, the power is intoxicating. Karen loves the galley floor, a little too much, but nice. It’s always great to see dolphins swimming free.
Boat maintenance is ever present. Trying to keep the deck pristine is a workout. Bird poop tends to stain the deck. Maybe that’s where “poop deck” came from. Our dill and basil are really growing. Karen is jumping for joy and exercise. Why do people abandon boats? Some just leave them to rot others store them in a slip to rot. Sad.

Sailing Intermission
Featuring the sailboat Isabella, a Super Mikado 56 made by the French shipyard CNSO. Sailing, partying, dancing, cooking, and sometimes pushing the limits. This sailboat had been neglected for some time when she was purchased. Lots of cleaning, sanding, refinishing, new lines, refrigerator, pumps, water heater parts, whole boat water filters, bow thruster, lighting, fuel filters, instruments, air conditioning, etc.... Some of the fun with refitting a sailboat is to be able to do economical but quality improvements. Elbow grease saves a lot of money, watching for sales, knowing when substitutions can be made that will last, and of course enjoying the final product. We sail, fish (haha), dance, fly the drone, sometimes wear bikinis, DIY, ride the motorcycle, listen to great music, and enjoy life. Older sailors don't have a clew when to quit; they just keep lubing their winches.
