Thanks to suggestions from our wonderful viewers, we got a little more aggressive with polishing the propeller. It turns out it is bronze and now it looks really nice.
There is a slight exhaust leak between the Cummins 4BT-3.9m engine flange where it connects to the riser that serves as the exit for exhaust. Steve has contacted both a mechanic who came to the boat and an exhaust professional via email. We’ve gotten two different strategies for properly sealing the flange to prevent further leakage. The situation still needs a bit more research on how to proceed before we decide exactly how to solve the issue, so stay tuned for an update in a later episode.
We’re still working on some Greek dance moves and tried dancing on the dock instead of on deck. It’s a little easier, but the dock is floating so it also moves.
Keeping with the Greek theme we had a wonderful meal with many traditional Greek foods. Fried saganaki cheese, dolmades (we just call them dolmas), hummus with pita bread and an olive feta cheese medley adorned our table. Some Retsina wine completed the menu. Perhaps that meal will improve our dancing????
It was interesting watching some construction on a new marina. Big cranes and dock sections.
Speaking of traditions, we know all over the world there are different cultural traditions as the holiday season is upon us. Here, we will celebrate Christmas with the arrival of family members and friends. Hoping that all of you have a wonderful and safe holiday with lots of joy and the making of new fond memories.
