It's a Deja Vu Anchorage Ep160

As we sat comfortably in the cockpit of our sailboat, a glass of wine in hand, relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking view. The air is a little crisp, as we watch fast-flying birds cut through the wind, their graceful movements adding to the sense of tranquility.

Inside the VIP head, a new teak backsplash enhances its appearance, giving the space a refined touch. The galley has also been updated with a specially designed board to keep dishes secure while we’re underway, adding practicality without compromising style.

After finally making it into a boatyard, the team thoroughly inspected our fuel system for any diesel and air leaks. They discovered a reversed O-ring on the primary filters, which they corrected. In addition, one of our engine mounts had slipped, but the technicians carefully repositioned it within specifications and checked the engine/shaft alignment, which was excellent (within 0.002”). With the repairs made, we set off into the Atlantic, heading north, eager to continue our voyage. However, just three hours into our trip, the engine unexpectedly died once again, forcing us to be towed back to the same anchorage we had departed from—an all-too-familiar feeling of déjà vu.

Undeterred, Karen kept herself busy straightening some lines and sanding a man-overboard pole. Of course, we found time to dance, finding joy in the little moments despite the setbacks.
