Living aboard a sailboat, what are the pros and cons? Life on a sailboat is a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. This time on Sailing Intermission we repair and paint some areas on the deck. The aft shower stall needed some repair.
Our AIS unit was shipped to Em-trak since they stated that the work would be covered under warranty. After receiving and diagnosing the unit, Em-trak refused to cover the repairs under warranty. We are so very disappointed in their customer service. Looks like we’ll be shopping for a new AIS unit of a different brand.

Sailing Intermission
Featuring the sailboat Isabella, a Super Mikado 56 made by the French shipyard CNSO. Sailing, partying, dancing, cooking, and sometimes pushing the limits. This sailboat had been neglected for some time when she was purchased. Lots of cleaning, sanding, refinishing, new lines, refrigerator, pumps, water heater parts, whole boat water filters, bow thruster, lighting, fuel filters, instruments, air conditioning, etc.... Some of the fun with refitting a sailboat is to be able to do economical but quality improvements. Elbow grease saves a lot of money, watching for sales, knowing when substitutions can be made that will last, and of course enjoying the final product. We sail, fish (haha), dance, fly the drone, sometimes wear bikinis, DIY, ride the motorcycle, listen to great music, and enjoy life. Older sailors don't have a clew when to quit; they just keep lubing their winches.
