The DECISION is NOW out of our hands ~ Living on a Sailboat in the Bahamas ~ S4E14

We are running out of time! Hurricane season is fast approaching and we have decided to make the trip south to Grenada instead of going back north like we originally planned. However, we are embarking on this adventure very late in the season and that doesn’t leave us many options.

Being in the Bahamas has been an absolutely magical experience. We feel like we were fortunate enough to have our best first cruising season. We discovered new places, meet amazing people, ate delicious local food, and really got to know our Hunter 460, Honu.

We have learned so much about sailing, reading the weather, chart, tides and currents since we started sailing south. It makes sense that this would be our natural progression. To follow in the footsteps of all the sailors we watched on YouTube; La Vagabonde, Delos, Uma, The wynns. They got us interested in this lifestyle and now we feel like we are following in their wake.

The day has finally come 😢 #endofanera #thischangeseverything #nextchapter #newbeginnings

We knew would be hard, but didn’t realize just how hard until now. They say the two happiest days in a boat owner’s life are the day they buy and the day they sell. Diving into the Culture of the Azores

We have been couped up on this ocean for 14 days now and it’s time to blow off some steam. But maybe we went a bit overboard by jumping into a local cultural event of running with the bulls. 😲🐂 To be honest we didn’t even know the Azores existed until we began this journey. They are a group of 9 is...
