Towing a Floating Dock in the Beautiful Bahamas

Sailing Doodles heads out on an unforgettable journey to one of the most gorgeous sandbars in all of the Bahamas, towing an incredible floating pontoon boat bar along the way. In this episode, we witness how they skillfully prepare their yacht and sail through picturesque landscapes.

Heading to Tahiti Beach

The Sailing Doodles crew is excited for their destination – Tahiti Beach, where a unique Thirsty Cuda floating pontoon boat has been converted into a bar and restaurant. Although you can’t dine on it, it serves delicious food and drinks.

A Special Towing Technique

To get to the sandbar in record time, they came up with an innovative solution – towing the floating dock behind their highfield! It proved to work surprisingly well. As they speed along at over six knots, the platform stays firmly on course.

Relaxing at the Sandbar

The sandbar is practically deserted when they arrive. At low tide, much of the sandbar becomes exposed, and you can easily walk out to the floating bar. It’s the perfect spot for relaxation and enjoyment with friends.

Sailing onto Great Guan Kei

After a stop to refuel the ladies’ cocktails, they sail up to Guan Kei, known as Orchid Bay Marina, where they plan to spend three nights. This scenic spot offers fantastic sailing opportunities and stunning island experiences.

Exploring Great Guan Kei

Guan Kei boasts the biggest marina on the island, which is quite well protected. The bar and restaurant at the marina seemed to be closed for some time when Sailing Doodles arrived. Undeterred, they explored their dining options.

Dining Out in Great Guan Kei

Having exhausted all nearby restaurants, they decided to try Grabbers, known for its stunning sunset views and excellent food. Grabbers was the only restaurant on the island serving dinner at that time, making it a natural choice.

A Perfect Adventure

The Bahamas is full of beautiful islands and hidden gems like Guan Kei. By combining sailing skills with a taste for adventure, the Sailing Doodles crew has a formula for fun! The journey takes them to exciting places, introducing them to different people, and making lasting memories.
