Sailing Thailand! Lagoon 400 Day Sail to Koh Mak (With the Dogs!)
Today’s adventure starts with a 5 hour road trip from Pattaya down to Koh Chang, where we jump aboard a Lagoon 400 catamaran for a beautiful sail through the islands of eastern Thailand.
After a quick tour of the boat, we untie the lines and head out for an easy 10 mile sail south to Koh Mak. This part of Thailand has some of the most underrated cruising grounds in Southeast Asia — warm water, steady wind, and quiet tropical islands everywhere.
Our destination is one of my favorite spots in the region… The Blue Pearl Bar on Koh Mak, an amazing little beach bar that’s perfect for watching the sunset after a great day on the water.
Even better, the pups got to join us for the adventure, making it a perfect sailing day with the whole crew.
If you’ve ever wondered what sailing Thailand is like, this is a pretty great example of a perfect day out here.
