Organized Chaos: 100 Boats Depart the Annapolis Boat Show!
The Annapolis Boat Show is over, but the real work begins! At sunrise, I head back to the docks to help with the massive teardown — floating docks are being dismantled, crews are casting off lines, and nearly 100 boats start departing in a well-orchestrated bit of organized chaos.
I’m helping move the Island Spirit 525e hull #3, the same model as my new catamaran (hull #5) that I’ll be getting in January. It’s a great behind-the-scenes look at what happens after the crowds go home.
Meanwhile, Laura is back on board with her two boys — but with the move running longer than expected, I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye in person. She recorded a touching farewell message that I’ve included at the end of the video.
