The adventure begins in idyllic Little Harbor, a serene well-protected haven that’s recently connected to the island. Despite the rough waves on its ocean side, the bay offers tranquil waters perfect for an evening anchorage.

Exciting Sail from Little Harbor to Hopetown

In high spirits after a night with some drinks, we set off from Little Harbor, bound for the stunning town of Hopetown. With our trusty dinghy ready and fuel refilled in Marsh Harbor, the picturesque 10-mile sail to Hopetown begins.

Within no time, aided by a swift 20-knot breeze, we arrived at the enchanting shores of Hopetown. This captivating spot is guarded by stunning beaches and dotted with Moorings in its sheltered bay. It even houses the last kerosene-powered lighthouse in the Bahamas.

Spectacular Beach Excursion

With a sense of adventure coursing through our veins, we decided to take our dinghy up a little inlet and land on a pristine beach for lunch. Despite the initial misgivings due to a near-capsize, it turned into a memorable seaside dining experience.

The crew marveled at Hopetown’s stunning turquoise waters and pristine sands as they mulled over a midday swim. Embarking on this beach escapade, we found ourselves drawn to an old, abandoned house partially ruined by Hurricane Dorian. Among the wreckage, a well-preserved swimming pool remained intact.

Relaxing Return to Our Boat

After thoroughly exploring and capturing our memorable beach lunch experience, we retreated back to our boat for some much-needed relaxation. The day’s filming concluded, leaving time to unwind and appreciate the beauty of Hopetown and its surrounding wonders.
