$15 Beach Bungalows in Thailand?! (Sailing Into a Storm)
We woke up anchored off Ao Salat on Koh Kood after one of the calmest nights we’ve had in Thailand. From there, we pulled anchor and set sail 18 miles north toward Koh Wai… with a thunderstorm building right in our path.
After dodging the weather, we made it safely to Koh Wai and grabbed a mooring just off the beach. And honestly… this place might be one of the best-kept secrets in Thailand.
You can stay here for:
Ocean view bungalows for around $15/night
Beachfront bungalows for about $30/night
And the food? Just as cheap.
We spent the afternoon exploring the island, hanging out at one of the laid-back resorts, and soaking in the views. The only hiccup… an aggressive dog on the island that took a little too much interest in our pups 😅
Overall though—amazing spot, incredible value, and definitely somewhere we’ll be back to.
