SDA227 Epic Bahamas Farewell

Some places are hard to leave.

The last days we spent in the Bahamas brought daily lightning storms, curious dolphins, and a few final dives before turning Dark Angel toward the Dominican Republic.

In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel we’re anchored at Mathew Town, Great Inagua, waiting through daily lightning storms for a weather window to beat to the Dominican Republic. Dolphins keep visiting while we manage to get both engines running long enough to dock at the marina for fuel. Between storms we dive the shoreline and anchorage and finish getting Dark Angel ready for the passage south.

These were our final dives in the Bahamas before sailing south toward the Dominican Republic.
🌊 Sailing Dark Angel follows our real-life journey sailing the Caribbean aboard our Island Spirit catamaran, sharing the challenges, adventures, and everyday moments of liveaboard sailing life.
