Sailing boat flooding mini drama to one side, a serious question for all of you, is this THE most beautiful port to sail into, in England?! It certainly makes dealing with boat drama more bearable when you’re surrounded by this much beauty!

We also want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who is (or has been) supporting us, from friends and family, to you guys who hit the like, share and subscribe buttons and now to our patrons, it’s really just unreal that you all helped to make this adventure what it is becoming and we hope that we are able to give back to you in entertainment value at least, as we try to show case the wonder, the majesty, and the beauty of these fine British Isles.

For those of you who want to support us yet feel money is tight, or the outlook with the economy, post Covud, is a bit bleak, then that’s perfectly understandable, however, if you can put up with a mere 30 seconds of an advert which is shown on this video, then you have helped immensely. You, by watching this much of an ad that’s placed on our video will have played a part in making the difference between us being able to afford, say, an average new life raft (when the time comes to upgrading), to us potentially being able to level up to an all singing, all dancing, self righting, top of the range sail boat life raft, and it’s these kinds of upgrades that really could make all the difference in a potential life and death situation. So to those of you who watch 30 seconds of an ad for us, sincerely, from the bottom of all of our hearts, than you! ☺️

In this episode we (once again) experience epic highs, quickly followed by more sailing boat drama as our sailing yacht floods after we come back from a walk. We are lucky enough to sail into possibly the most beautiful entrance to a port which we’ve experienced, and can only hope that our amateur film making skills can do justice to the magnificence of this amazing place.

We Almost Threw These Away… Now Look

We almost didn’t bother with these. Late in the season, we collected a handful of fallen acorns from the forest floor—fully expecting most of them to fail. Everything we’d read (and been told) suggested they wouldn’t sprout this late. So we nearl...

Could We Actually Live Like This?

We headed into our woodland to cook a proper Dutch oven pizza over the fire… but this trip turned into something a bit more special. It was Hudson’s 2nd birthday, so we decided to celebrate it the only way that makes sense for us — deep in the fores...

I Nearly Lost My Finger | Some Good News, Some Bad

This week I had a close call with a log splitter and nearly lost my finger while working in our woodland. I’ll show the injury later in the video for those who are morbidly curious. After that scare, the week took an unexpected turn. My wife found an a...

We Bought a Woodland – Ep2 – A Problem in the Woods

We bought a woodland, and this is episode two. Lately my dad has been struggling, and sometimes the only thing you can do is show up and try to make life a little easier in the ways you know how. This day in the woods wasn’t about fixing everything or ...

Carly Had a Great Idea… and It Might Actually Work

This video started with a simple idea from Carly — using what we already have around us in the woodland to create something genuinely useful. We won’t say what it is at the start, because half the fun was working it out as we went along… but by the ...
