We set off aboard Bluefish, our Lagoon 42, expecting an easy sail south through Greece — but the conditions keep changing as the day goes on.
The Code Zero goes up in light wind, Noa makes Laura and me coffee underway, and dolphins come alongside for a while. The sea is busy with traffic too, and we hear a Mayday from another boat after a collision nearby.
As the wind builds, we take the Code Zero in and start reducing sail. First one reef, then two, as the wind reaches around 25 knots and Bluefish keeps making good speed south.
Later, a large butterfly somehow finds us offshore and lands on Lucas’s hand before the wind fades almost completely as we approach Ithaca.
We head into an anchorage we already know, drop the sails, get the anchor down and pack the Code Zero away properly for the night.
A full day of sailing the Mediterranean, family life underway and changing conditions aboard our Lagoon 42.

⛵ Welcome aboard Bluefish
We’re Fredrik, Laura, Lucas and Noa. We sold everything and moved aboard Bluefish, our Lagoon 42 catamaran, because we believe life is meant to be lived before it’s too late.
Now we sail the Mediterranean full-time, sharing life aboard with teenagers — sailing, anchorages, boat systems, fishing, foiling, photography and the places we discover along the way.
