We Left Idaho… To Come Home to This
We left our ranch in Idaho and traveled halfway around the world to get home… to our sailboat in Tahiti. ⛵
After a whirlwind trip to the States, eight checked duffel bags, and one missing suitcase, we finally made it back to Big Lost, our Vision 444 catamaran in French Polynesia.
With the help of our friend Muriel, who had been looking after Big Lost while we were away, we got everyone and almost all our luggage back aboard.
But there wasn’t much time to settle in. We had friends waiting on the other side of Tahiti, supplies to deliver, and a boat to get moving again.
Join us as we raise anchor in Phaeton Bay, sail along Tahiti’s coast, navigate the reef passage and airport runway crossing, and reunite with our cruising friends just in time for a Halloween raft-up and potluck.
And, of course, life aboard wouldn’t be complete without a little boat maintenance!
