Crossing the Pacific Changed Our Family

After months of preparation and 24 days at sea since leaving Panama, we finally crossed the Pacific Ocean and arrived in Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands of French Polynesia.
This crossing pushed our family physically and mentally in ways difficult to explain. Interrupted sleep, endless sail changes, life offshore, and the emotional weight of crossing over 4,000 nautical miles together slowly became our normal.
For our kids, it may have felt like just another adventure. But for us, this crossing became something much bigger — a reminder of what people are capable of when they are willing to take risks, endure discomfort, and work together toward something meaningful.
Landfall in the Marquesas felt surreal after weeks surrounded by nothing but ocean. And arriving safely as a family is something we will carry with us forever.

Most people think we're crazy. We sold the house, left the routine behind, and crossed the Pacific Ocean with our kids. It hasn't always been easy. There have been setbacks, repairs, long passages, and plenty of uncertainty. But there have also been moment...

The View Isn’t The Reason We Crossed the Pacific

Most people think we crossed the Pacific for the turquoise water, remote islands, and incredible anchorages. And while those things are amazing, they're not the reason we made this journey. The real reward has been the people we've met, the experiences we'...
