After months of searching, countless debates, and a lot of prayers, we officially became the owners of a 2021 Leopard 50 catamaran. But buying the boat was the easy part.
Now comes the hard part.
We’re saying goodbye to our home, our routines, our kids’ sports teams, friends, neighbors, and the life we’ve spent years building.

This is the REAL & RAW reality of living on a sailboat off-grid! Episodes come out every Saturday! Steve & Kami had a dream to buy a sailboat and travel the world when we retired. We spent 15 years working multiple jobs, living BELOW our means, saving every penny we could and investing in real-estate. Well the year of Covid hit and we thought, what the hell let's freaking go, kids and all! The first thing Steve said when he walked onto our boat "It smells like freedom!" We completed our first year of sailing, sold our sailboat Banana Pancakes, in hopes of purchasing a newer one. We didn't find the right boat so we headed back to Idaho. It's been 2 years since then and we are once again ready to go, this time for at least 5 years. We are currently boat shopping and plan on setting sail soon for Seson 2 of Banana Pancakes.
