We bought Avocet in 2018 as newly weds, fresh out of college with a small budget and a dream to explore what lies beyond the horizon. This channel shares the details of our renovations, redesigns, and refits while we simultaneously juggle our respective media businesses offscreen to keep this whole operation afloat. We weren’t done with the Monterey Bay quite yet – we left Santa Cruz and sailed 22 nautical miles across to the Bay’s namesake city of Monterey where we enjoyed the Monterey Bay.Aquarium, Bike Path, caught up with an old friend and even got close and personal with a fün whale! Our departure was less than stellar though, and the beginning of our very long engine saga. Buckle up, there is a lot more to come.
*NOTE: Canning industry started in 1850… not 1950… must be all the diesel fumes. You’ll understand what I mean shortly.
