After a big celebration last night, we are off to Sicily – 200 nm which wasn’t an easy one.
Nevertheless, we arrived at Naxos where above – on the mountain you can see an impressive-looking Taormina town.
After exploring the city we proceeded via the Strait of Messina and did we get the wrong weather! 🙂
But that doesn’t stop us as we still make it to the volcanic island of Stromboli, where sadly – we do not get the best time, quite opposite – we get a big fine for… hanging out with local boats? Oh Well…
Our next destination – Cefalu which is claimed of the nicest cities in Sicily. We also intended to visit Palermo, but the feeling of being unwelcome and an upcoming storm with no good protection there forced us to move again…

We are couple sailing around the world on our AMEL Super Maramu 2000 called Aquarius. We climbed career ladders, and enjoyed living in Southern California and we always loved traveling. One conversation during the dinner take a year off and go travel started shaping up. Without much of previous sailing experienced we decided to buy a boat and sail around the world, which we started in Caribbean in the beginning of 2017, and still sailing, hoping to circumnavigate the world!
