Our Final Passage? Sailing into Chesapeake Bay After 2 Storms / Sailing Aquarius Ep. 227

After years of adventures aboard Aquarius, our journey takes a bittersweet turn. We leave Georgetown, pushing straight for Chesapeake Bay — 380 nautical miles in just over two days. Along the way, we battle two storms, dodge lightning, and even alter course for a distress signal… only to find out it’s a military exercise.

Sailing the U.S. East Coast has proven more challenging than we imagined — fewer anchorages, tricky tides, and storms almost every day. But reaching Chesapeake Bay feels like crossing a final milestone. This could be our last overnight sail on Aquarius before hauling her out in Deltaville.

It’s not just the end of a passage… it’s the end of an era. 💙

⛵ Join us as we share the raw reality, shifting plans, and reflections on a life lived at sea.
