Living on a small Tartan Classic sailboat sounds romantic doesn't it. Sail away into the unknown with out a worrying the world. True we have many of those experiences. But, in reality it can be hard work, uncomfortable situations, and a dirty mess a lot of the time. Doing dishes is one task I needed to adjust to. On land it is turn on the faucet and fresh clean hot or cold water flows. No worry about where it comes from or how to fetch it. Since our spectra water maker broke we have had to conserve the fresh water saving it more for drinking and cooking. Salt water becomes king here. Pumping it in by foot pump and allowing it to drain back out you flush away left over food particles and bacteria. Did you know that moving water is usually effective enough to clean most everything?
